Meet our staff

The Phipps Family

The Phipps Family came to Stony Glen the summer of 2009. God directed David and Tiffany’s path and made it clear to them that God did not need their ability, He needed their availability. They strive to serve like Jesus served and pray that others will see Jesus as they serve at Stony Glen. David and Tiffany have 3 children, Coleton, Hallie, and Brenna. The kids all actively participate in serving in some capacity at camp and continue to love living here; because not many people can say they have 5 waterfalls in their back yard!

David has assumed the role of Stony Glen Camp’s Superintendent and Tiffany works in the office as the Administrative Assistant.

Their family verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” KJV

Abrams Family

Kevin began working full time in maintenance for Stony Glen in January 2022 after serving as a volunteer and a member of the Board of Trustees since 2017. Late in 2015, he felt God place a calling on his heart to serve at Stony Glen and the family acted on that calling in July 2017, moving from Columbus to Madison. Kevin and Megan have two children, Alyse and KJ. Megan is a full-time public-school teacher serving the youngest students with special needs. Alyse works in the Stony Glen kitchen.

Gideon Harker

Gideon Harker is a third-generation camper/worker at Stony Glen. His grandparents, George (Mr. Mac) and Donna McFadden, along with his parents Matthew and Colynn, served many years at camp. Colynn helped Donna in the kitchen growing up, while Mr. Mac taught various classes, and Matthew certified many junior counselors for CSB in lifeguarding, and has CPR certified all the staff at camp.

Gideon started coming to Stony Glen through Christian Service Brigade in 2013. In 2022, he felt God calling him to serve at Stony Glen. When he saw the need for help and that camp was searching for a third full-time employee he applied. After graduating high school in 2023, he came to serve full time at Stony Glen.

Tuesday Guys

We are so thankful for this group of guys that come faithfully on Tuesdays no matter the weather and use their talents and abilities to keep improving camp and making it look great for our user groups.  We are so very grateful for each and everyone of them. The Tuesday Guys started with a prayer meeting with Carl Smith and Jim Lors in the 80’s.  Carl then asked Jim to check out his furnace then the next week it was checking on something down at camp and so the Tuesday Guys started and more were invited along the way.
